Former two-division UFC champion B.J. Penn was able to drop Dennis Siver in round 2, but otherwise it was Siver who was in control of the UFC Oklahoma City main card opener. His faster, more diverse striking made the difference in the final round, which led to two judges awarding him a 10-8. This featherweight matchup went the way of Siver, who notched his first victory since 2015. Penn still hasn’t won a fight since November 2010.
Siver couldn’t get Penn down on his single-leg attempt, and he had to disengage. Penn just missed on a right hand but he did connect on a jab, which proved to be his most effective punch.
