Abdul-Kerim Edilov, who was scheduled to make his Octagon debut last month, has been notified of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation from an out-of-competition sample.
The UFC released a statement on the matter on Tuesday evening. As usual, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency will handle the situation as it progresses. The substance for which Edilov tested positive was not revealed.
“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case,” the statement read. “It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.
