At least one fighter was spinning and winning on Saturday.
After likely falling behind on the scorecards in the first round, Steven Peterson beat Martin Bravo to the punch and scored a highlight-reel KO in round two of their featherweight matchup at UFC Mexico City.
Both fighters attempted to land a spinning strike, but it was Peterson’s backfist that landed right on the button, instantly putting Bravo down for the count.
After winning just one of his first four fights, all of which went the distance, Peterson (18-9) now looks like a shoo-in for a fight night bonus.
