Charles Oliveira wants to stay busy — even if that means competing outside of the Octagon.
Victorious in five UFC bouts over the last 12 months, finishing every single one of his opponents inside two rounds, Oliveira is set to take on Gesias Cavalcante in a 170-pound grappling match at Kasai Super Series in Orlando, Fla., on July 4, the promotion announced following a report by FloGrappling.
Oliveira, 27-8 (with one no-contest) as a mixed martial arts fighter, holds the record for most submission victories in UFC history (13), breaking Royce Gracie’s mark with recent stoppages over Clay Guida, Christos Giagos, Jim Miller and David Teymur.
