Retired mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Don Frye, who rose to fame by steamrolling opponents in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournaments of yesteryear, is having a hard time coming to terms with the way Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) treated Nick Diaz.
Especially when you consider what may happen with Jon Jones.
Diaz was suspended from competition for a whopping five years after failing his UFC 183 drug test (marijuana), a "horseshit" punishment according to Frye, but one that pales in comparison to the decision to re-license Jones if and when the exiled ex-champ can resolve his legal woes.
