UFC heavyweight Ruslan Magomedov flagged by USADA for potential anti-doping violation

Heavyweight prospect Ruslan Magomedov is the latest UFC fighter to fall under the sword of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

The UFC announced Monday that Magomedov has been informed of a "potential anti-doping violation" stemming from an out-of-competition drug test collected by USADA on Sept. 7. The UFC did not specify the nature of the banned substance found in Magomedov's sample.

Magomedov, 29, is currently the No. 12 ranked heavyweight in the UFC's media-generated rankings. He has been out of action since Oct. 2015, when he propelled his undefeated UFC record to 3-0 with a unanimous decision win over Shawn Jordan at UFC 192.
