Another UFC fighter has been downed by a tainted supplement.
Undefeated heavyweight prospect Justin Ledet has accepted a four-month, anti-doping suspension after testing positive for a banned substance due to a contaminated supplement, USADA announced Wednesday.
Ledet, 29, tested positive for “a metabolite of 1-testosterone and 1-androstenedione” in an out-of-competition drug test from a sample collected Jan. 12, according to a USADA release. Subsequent testing of a supplement declared by Ledet in his sample collection paperwork at a WADA-accredited laboratory in Salt Lake City discovered the presence of banned anabolic agents in the product, which has since been added to USADA’s list of high risk supplements.
