Francis Ngannou will be the second UFC talent — and third MMA star overall — to play a part in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
According to Deadline, the heavyweight contender will have a role in the as-yet-to-be titled “Fast & Furious 9,” although details regarding his involvement remain scarce at the moment. The movie is currently filming and stars Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez and John Cena, among others. Justin Lin will direct the film, which is scheduled for a May 22 release next year.
Ngannou joins former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and ex-Strikeforce competitor Gina Carano as fighters who have starred in the franchise.
