Josh Barnett scored a big win over Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night 93 in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday.
Since resigning with the UFC in 2014, Arlovski had only lost to Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem, who will collide for the heavyweight title at UFC 203 on September 10.
Currently ranked at No. 9 in the official rankings, ‘The Warmaster’ is likely to catapult into the upper echelon of the HW division after beating the No. 6 ranked Arlovski.
After a back-and-forth affair, Barnett secured a choke in the third round and became the only fighter to submit Arlovski in his seventeen year career.
