Middleweight headliners Jack Hermansson and Ronaldo Souza led a field of 17 fighters to be issued medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC Fort Lauderdale.
The Florida State Boxing Commission released the event’s finalized medical suspension report to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Hermansson defeated Souza via unanimous decision this past Saturday in UFC Fort Lauderdale’s main event to cement himself as a legitimate title contender in the 185-pound division. As a result of potential damage sustained in their contests, both Hermansson and “Jacare” will be forced to sit out 30 days before being allowed to return to active competition, per Florida commission officials.
