The UFC has cut Diego Brandao (pictured) after the troubled featherweight was charged earlier this month with four felony counts, including one for assault with great bodily harm and three for assault with a deadly weapon following a Thursday morning strip club brawl.
Sherdog.com first reported Brandao’s release, though the UFC has yet to officially address Brandao’s status with the promotion. Brandao’s fighter profile is still currently on UFC.com.
After Brandao’s arrest, the UFC issued a generic statement expressing their concern for “the nature of the reported allegations, it is important to note that Brandao is entitled to due process in a court of law.
