UFC Beijing was about as irrelevant as it gets in terms of the UFC rankings. The card did have three top-ten heavyweights in the headlining bouts, but that’s pretty much it. With much of the card featuring local talent, no one else was in the rankings before or cracked the rankings with their victories.
There were a few changes despite the lack of relevancy in China though. Women’s bantamweight has a new number-one contender (or at least someone who is tied for the spot now). And flyweight continues to be in flux as the UFC seemingly wraps up the division.
