Donny Aaron, the UFC fighter’s spouse, was officially charged with one count of domestic battery abuse and one count of false imprisonment by the Shreveport (La.) Police Department on Monday, stemming from an incident that occurred in the early morning of Aug. 5.
Lee said in her statement Wednesday that her family is dealing with the situation and she is asking for privacy. Lee and Aaron have been married for about five years and have a daughter together.
“My family and I are handling the situation to the best of our ability, as this is a very sensitive issue and one that as a public figure I wish was not taking place in a public forum,” Lee wrote.
