The final UFC event of November is a Fight Night card at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. Originally, Luke Rockhold vs. Jacare Souza 2 was set to headline the event, but an injury to Rockhold led to the co-main event of Robert Whittaker vs. Derek Brunson being promoted to the main event. It’s a great matchup of two red-hot middleweights, and deserving of a five-round spot.
Putting it nicely, this isn’t one of the UFC’s stronger Fight Night offerings. The co-main is a lightweight tilt between prospect Jake Matthews and Andrew Holbrook. Welterweight veteran Kyle Noke will also be taking on Omari Akhmedov, with both men trying to snap two-fight losing skids.
