Not only did Donald Cerrone return to his winning ways, he recaptured his bonus-hunting magic, as well.
“Cowboy” earned a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” award for his first-round submission of Alex Oliveira in the UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh headliner at Consol Energy Center on Sunday evening. Cerrone made short work of his Brazilian foe, tapping Oliveira with a triangle choke 2:33 into round one to capture an extra paycheck for the first time in five bouts.
Meanwhile, Chris Camozzi garnered the evening’s other $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus by blasting through fellow veteran Joe Riggs in a featured middleweight bout.
