Florida State Boxing Commission has released the disclosed salaries for all the contestants who competed in Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Romero” event.
Despite getting knocked out cold after eating a flurry of elbows, Lyoto Machida (pictured) was the night’s highest earner. Machida pocketed $200,000 for merely stepping into the cage.
Romero, meanwhile, made just $66,000 with half of his paycheck coming via win bonus.
Please keep in mind, the numbers that get reported to the athletic commissions are only of what’s required. These figures do not include deductions for items such as licenses and taxes.
