Five fighters from this past Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 135 card could be looking at an extended time on the shelf.
According to medical suspensions released by the Nebraska Athletic Commission, Cortney Casey-Sanchez, Warlley Alves, Cory Sandhagen, Iuri Alcantara and Luke Sanders have all been handed 180-day sentences. Those suspensions can be reduced with doctor clearance. The exact nature of each fighter’s injury was not revealed by the commission.
UFC Fight Night 135 took place at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., on Aug. 25 and saw Justin Gaethje score a first-round knockout of James Vick in the evening’s lightweight headliner.
