While Rose Namajunas delivered a beating to Paige VanZant at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas last week, the Grudge Training Center product could be out of action until June.
Namajunas must get her left hand X-rayed and receive medical clearance, or she will not be allowed to fight for six months. “Thug Rose” overwhelmed VanZant throughout Thursday’s strawweight main event before finally finishing her with a rear-naked choke 2:25 into the fifth round. Meanwhile, VanZant is suspended until Jan. 25 with no contact until Jan. 10.
The Nevada Athletic Commission recently released medical suspensions from the event, which took place at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
