For the first time in the promotion's history, the UFC hosted an event in Manila, Philippines. While the event took place bright and early in North America, which is a much-needed break for East Coaster awake past midnight to watch most main events, it certainly featured a variety of enthralling fights, as well as an emotional sendoff that added to the overall value of the card.
Not only were UFC fans given a rare Saturday night off to venture outside of their households, they were also treated to a highly anticipated main event that legitimately had the feel of a worthy showcase feature.
