The UFC will make their return to Oregon on October 1st, and the headliner looks like it has fireworks written all over it. Two former flyweight contenders will tangle at 135 pounds as John Lineker will take on John Dodson in a slugfest. Lineker has won all three of his fights since returning to 135, most recently knocking out former title challenger Michael McDonald in under three minutes. Dodson, who challenged Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight title twice, stopped Manny Gamburyan in just 37 seconds in his return to bantamweight earlier this year.
