Have a day Lerone Murphy!
The Manchester native made good on his first UFC main event, putting on the best performance of his UFC career opposite of Edson Barboza. For 25 minutes Murphy put the pressure on Barboza, not giving the dangerous Brazilian striker a chance to get on the gas. Murphy survived a scare in the final moments of the first frame and flipped a switch in between rounds that put him in the driver’s seat for the remainder of the fight.
Murphy landed 220 significant strikes and scored four of his six takedowns to stifle Barboza.
