Check out BloodyElbow.com’s recap of the UFC Fight Night 89 co-main event between Donald Cerrone and Patrick Cote.
Donald Cerrone became the first fighter to finish Patrick Cote with strikes Saturday night — and he made it look easy. In the highly anticipated co-main event of UFC Fight Night 89, which marked the UFC’s debut in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Cowboy stepped into Cote’s home-turf and still put on one of the best performances of his veteran career.
Cote, a former light heavyweight competitor and middleweight challenger, was the larger and more powerful fighter going into the matchup with Cerrone, who fought for the lightweight belt late last year.
