UFC Fight Night 88 injuries, medical suspensions: Bryan Caraway, Josh Burkman facing six-month sits

UFC Fight Night 88 injuries and medical suspensions for those athletes competing at the "Almeida vs. Garbrandt" mixed martial arts (MMA) event last weekend (Sun., May 29, 2016) from inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, were released on Wednesday by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

Rising bantamweight contender Bryan Caraway could be joining welterweight veteran Josh Burkman -- along with middleweight up-and-comer Jake Collier -- in the six-month club, thanks to boo-boos sustained during their fisticuffs on FOX Sports 1.

That's not all.

Thomas Almeida: Suspended 60 days (45 days no contact) for precautionary reasons
Renan Barao: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for scalp laceration
Tarec Saffiedine: Suspended 30 days (15 days no contact) for lacerations on left eyebrow and left knee
Chris Camozzi: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for possible injuries to his left foot and right shoulder
Vitor Miranda: Suspended 60 days (45 days no contact) for laceration on a left eyebrow
Josh Burkman: Suspended 180 days pending ENT doctor clearance for possible broken nose; minimum suspension 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons
Jordan Rinaldi: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for left-cheek laceration
Jake Collier: Suspended 180 days pending ENT doctor clearance for possible broken nose; minimum suspension 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons
Bryan Caraway: Suspended 180 days pending orthopedic doctor clearance for possible left-shoulder and back injuries; minimum suspension 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons
Chris de la Rocha: Suspended 180 days pending ENT doctor clearance for possible nasal fracture; minimum suspension 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons
Adam Milstead: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for right-hand pain

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light.
