UFC Fight Night 82 medical suspensions: Stephen Thompson lands potential six-month suspension

Stephen Thompson highlighted a list of six fighters to be handed six-month medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 82, according to information released Monday to MMA Fighting by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Thompson put on the performance of a lifetime on Saturday night, battering Johny Hendricks before knocking out the former UFC welterweight champion midway through the first round of their main event fight. Thompson will now be required to receive doctor's clearance on his right ankle or be forced to sit on the sidelines until Aug. 7.
