Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is giving mixed martial arts (MMA) fans a sneak peek at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 81 lightweight co-main event between Anthony Pettis and Eddie Alvarez, which takes place this Sunday night (Jan. 17, 2016) on FOX Sports 1 inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
This latest incarnation, however, plays more like a "Countdown" preview.
Pettis (18-3) is looking to rebound after last year's upset loss to Rafael dos Anjos, one that cost him the 155-pound title and snapped a five-fight winning streak. Alvarez (26-4), meanwhile, will attempt to build some momentum following a split-decision win over Gilbert Melendez way back in June.
