Strawweight headliner Rose Namajunas was one of five fighters to be medically suspended for upwards of six months in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 80, according to information released Monday to MMA Fighting by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Namajunas (left hand) outclassed Paige VanZant for five rounds before submitting the prospect with a rear-naked choke in the main event of the Dec. 10 show. She highlights a list that includes Elias Theodorou (right hand), Sergio Moraes (left hand), Kevin Casey (eye), and Emily Kagan (left knee) as fighters who will be required to receive doctor's clearance on their potential injuries or be forced to sit out until June 10.
