Welterweight headliner Neil Magny was one of nine fighters to receive an extended medical suspension potentially stretching up to 180 days in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 78. The UFC released the event's medical suspension report to The Underground on Monday.
Magny captured a split decision over fellow UFC welterweight contender Kelvin Gastelum in UFC Fight Night 78's main event, but it looks like he may injured his left hand in the process. He will be forced to receive doctor's clearance on the possible injury or sit on the sidelines for upwards of six months as it heals.
