Five athletes could face long medical suspensions following UFC Fight Night 77.
The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) announced on Monday that Kevin Souza, Pedro Munhoz, Piotr Hallman, Johnny Case and Gasan Umalatov are sidelined 180 days pending clearance from injuries sustained in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 7.
Souza and Umalatov, who lost to Chas Skelly and Viscardi Andrade, respectively, suffered right hand injuries, while Case, who defeated Yan Cabral via decision, has a right leg injury. Hallman and Munhoz, who suffered lost to Alex Oliveira and Jimmie Rivera, have a broken nose and a broken orbital bone, respectively.
