The next generation of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight division kicked off the main card at UFC Fight Night 73 earlier tonight (Sat. August 8, 2015) as the No.14-ranked Ray Borg took on promotion newcome Geane Herrera.
Borg defeated Herrera by unanimous decision inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., by landing well-timed takedowns and using superior grappling over the course of three rounds. All three judges scored it 30-27 for Borg.
Borg shot in and landed a beautiful double-leg takedown to start the first round. Herrera did an excellent job of not allowing Borg to pass his guard.
