The first-ever Ultimate Fighting Championship main event to feature an Aboriginal Australian fighter is now set, with Tai Tuivasa making weight for his bout against former UFC heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos.
Dos Santos hit the scales at 255 pounds, as he prepares to face the undefeated Tuivasa (262) in the UFC Fight Night 142 main event this Saturday at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia. Co-headlining will be another heavyweight matchup between Mark Hunt (264) and Justin Willis (263.5). At light heavyweight, former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua (206) will meet Tuivasa’s brother-in-law Tyson Pedro (205), all of whom made weight without issue at Friday’s official weigh-in.
