Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis might have worked a little longer than expected on Saturday night, but they were compensated accordingly.
The heavyweight sluggers garnered “Fight of the Night” honors and $50,000 apiece for their battle in the UFC Fight Night 110 headliner on Saturday night. Ultimately, Hunt wore down his opponent and defeated Lewis via technical knockout 3:51 into the fourth round. As Lewis faded, Hunt capitalized and teed off on his tired foe with punches and elbows near the fence to force the stoppage.
Elsewhere, Dan Hooker received a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” award for his spectacular second-round knockout of Ross Pearson in a featured lightweight scrap.
