UFC welterweight veteran Tim Means was the lone fighter to received a potentially lengthy medical suspension in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 106, as Mean received a 180-day sentence due to a possible foot injury sustained during his main card bout against Alex Oliveira, according to information released Monday by the Brazilian Athletic Commission (CABMMA).
Fighting in a rematch against Oliveira on the night’s main card opener, Means lost to the Brazilian via second-round rear-naked choke. He will now be required to receive doctor’s clearance on an x-ray of his right foot, or be forced to sit on the sidelines for up to 180 days.
