The ‘Korean Zombie’ has earned an extra $50,000 for his knockout over top-10 featherweight Dennis Bermudez at UFC Fight Night 104. The news was announced by the UFC following the event.
Chan Sung Jung, or better known as the ‘Korean Zombie’, made an impressive return to the Octagon at Saturday’s UFC event in Houston, Texas by finishing Bermudez with an uppercut in the first round of the fight, thus earning a Performance of the Night award. This fight was the first for the 29-year-old South Korean fighter since fighting Jose Aldo for the featherweight belt at UFC 163 back in 2013, as the ‘Korean Zombie’ had to complete a mandatory two-year service in the South Korean army that kept him out of competition.
