Mixed martial arts legend B.J. Penn led the disclosed payroll for UFC Fight Night 103, earning $150,000 for his unsuccessful comeback bid against featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez. The Arizona Department of Gaming on Tuesday released the event’s salary information to MMA Fighting.
Fighting for the first time in nearly three years, Penn suffered a lopsided second-round TKO loss to Rodriguez in UFC Fight Night 103’s main event, likely marking the end of the road for the 38-year-old UFC Hall of Famer. Rodriguez, a TUF Latin America winner considered by many to be one of the most talented prospects in the featherweight division, earned $100,000 in victory.
