A year off between fights didn’t seem to bother Punahele Soriano as the Contender Series veteran returned with a stunning performance at UFC Fight Island 7 on Saturday.
The Hawaiian was head hunting from the moment he was released from the corner and a series of brutal left hands put opponent Dusko Todorovic on the canvas several times during the opening round. Ultimately it was one of those powerful lefts that dropped Todorovic to the ground and referee Herb Dean saw enough to stop the contest with the end coming at 4:48 in the opening round.
