Andre Fili alternated wins and losses in his first eight UFC bouts. Every time he picked up a marquee win and seemed finally ready to make a legitimate run in the featherweight division, he fell short his next time out.
But suddenly, in his past five fights, “Touchy” is 4-1. And sandwiched between two pairs of wins, which includes a first-round knockout of Sheymon Moraes earlier this month at UFC Sacramento, is a split decision.
So, what changed? What has led to the recent increase in success for Fili?
“I’m back in love with fighting,” Fili told Bloody Elbow.
