Senior Vice President of Europe, Middle East and North Africa David Allen revealed that the UFC has plans to head to Russia in 2016, along with a handful of other new locations.
Since the UFC had recently negotiated a television broadcast deal in Russia to deliver UFC programming to over 50 million homes, many fans and pundits alike knew it was only a matter of time before the promotion attempted to push for an event in the Eurasian market.
While the UFC has refereed to Russia one of the "new global markets," they are yet to make a formal announcement regarding a potential debut event.
