In what may very well be the shortest stay in UFC after winning the promotion's reality television competition The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 in July 2014, Middleweight winner Eddie Gordon has been released.
"Truck" announced the disappointing news on Facebook while hinting a return as a Welterweight:
Gordon, 7-4, appeared on what was arguably the weakest season in TUF history, winning all three of his appearances via decision against Matt Gabel, Mike King and Cathal Pendred.
He followed up in the Finale with a devastating knockout in the very first round over Dhiego Lima on July 6, 2014, earning him the six-figure contract with UFC.
