Amanda Nunes was expected to defend her women’s featherweight title against Felicia Spencer at UFC 249 but ‘The Lioness’ was forced out of the bout due to a ‘small ankle injury’, per American Top Team (ATT) head coach coach Conan Silveira.
The highly anticipated featherweight title bout has been rescheduled for June 6 and will take place an undisclosed location, according a recent report by MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz.
ESPN’s Ariel Helwani first reported the matchup on Twitter.
