The UFC is returning to the “City of Brotherly Love”.
It’s been over seven years since the Octagon touched down in Philadelphia, but officials announced Tuesday that the UFC will hold a show at the Wells Fargo Center on March 30, following an initial report by ESPN.
This will be the UFC’s third visit to the venue. The first Philadelphia card was UFC 101 (back in August 2009 when the Wells Fargo Center was known as the Wachovia Center), which was headlined by then-lightweight champion B.J. Penn defending against Kenny Florian, with a memorable light heavyweight bout between Anderson Silva and Forrest Griffin in the co-main spot.
