Following a Covid scare involving a member of his team, Drakkar Klose is being re-booked for April - but against a different opponent.
Klose (11-2-1, 5-2 UFC) had originally been scheduled to fight Jai Herbert at last weekend’s UFC Vegas 19 card. Herbert fell out, so Luis Pena got the fight instead. But on the day of the event, a member of Klose’s team contracted the virus so the bout was scrapped.
Now, the UFC has decided to give him a much higher-profile fight, and he’ll meet Jeremy Stephens in a lightweight bout on April 17th.
Stephens (28-18, 1 NC, 15-17, 1 NC UFC) is badly in need of a win.
