Due to medical issues, non-weight cut related, Arman Tsarukyan has been removed from his lightweight championship bout with Islam Makhachev. Replacing Tsarukyan in the main event will be Renato Moicano.
Moicano, the No. 10 ranked UFC lightweight contender, has been on an surge since 2022 with four statement wins in a row over the likes of Benoit Saint Denis, Jalin Turner and Drew Dober. The grappling specialist and 10-year UFC veteran now intends to put his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt skills on display against the dominant champion Makhachev in the new main event for the UFC lightweight title.
