Brendan Allen bounced back from his first loss inside the octagon with a nasty submission win at UFC 261.
After starting the fight with a crisp striking display, Allen reversed a leg lock attempt from opponent Karl Roberson by then grabbing onto his own heel hook submission. As soon as Allen leaned back into the hold, a painful grimace washed over Roberson’s face as he was forced to tap out or risk serious damage done to his knee.
The end came at 4:55 in the first round.
“I felt the toes sink in [to the armpit],” Allen said about setting up the fight finishing submission.
