Kamaru Usman joined the UFC in 2015 with a record of 5-1. Today, Usman has a professional record of 17-1. Those 12 straight wins in the UFC welterweight division put him in a tie with former two-division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre for the longest winning streak in the history of the UFC’s 170-pound division.
On Saturday, Usman looks to break that tie with St-Pierre when he faces No. 1 ranked Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC 258. Usman, who claimed the UFC welterweight title with a 2019 decision win over Tyron Woodley, still has a way to go to catch St-Pierre in the consecutive title defense department.
