UFC 258 medical suspensions: Kamaru Usman faces potential six-month term for right foot

Kamaru Usman needs to get his right foot checked out after his successful title defense at UFC 258.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is requiring the UFC welterweight champ to submit a clear X-ray to rule out a six-month suspension after this past Saturday’s pay-per-view event, according to medical suspensions issued by the NAC and released by mixedmartialarts.com.

Usman defeated his former training partner Gilbert Burns via third-round TKO, notching his third title defense after a tough start in which he was rocked by a punch. The champ is suspended for 30 days regardless of the X-ray results; Burns is suspended until March 31 for his TKO loss.
