UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was the top disclosed earner when checks were cut after UFC 248.
Adesanya’s guaranteed $500,000 purse topped the list of final salaries released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which regulated this past Saturday’s pay-per-view event at T-Mobile Arena.
While they didn’t win over the crowd with a tactical five-round fight, Adesanya and Romero could bank even bigger payouts when discretionary bonuses are added.
The total disclosed payroll for the event was $2,086,000.
As always, these figures do not represent a fighter’s total earnings, as certain sponsorship incomes, pay-per-view earnings or discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
