A nearly flawless performance didn’t keep UFC flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko from a substantial medical suspension.
Shevchenko has drawn a six-month term following her third-round TKO of Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 247, according to suspensions posted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The TDLR does not disclose details about medical suspensions, so it’s impossible to know whether Shevchenko can be cleared early by a doctor. However, that is almost always the case for longer suspensions. The commission requires a mandatory 10-day term of all combatants.
