The accumulated shoulders, kicks and punches Donald Cerrone absorbed in less than one minute at UFC 246 could keep him out of action for six months.
That’s according to medical suspensions released Tuesday by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, whose medical team assessed a broken nose and “mild” orbital fracture suffered by Cerrone in a 40-second loss to Conor McGregor.
Cerrone, who was suspended indefinitely for possible facial fractures after his previous fight, was transported to the hospital immediately after UFC 246. His manager Josh Jones told MMA Fighting a CT scan of his brain came back negative for serious damage.
