I have nothing against Australia. I’ve never been there, but I understand it is a wonderful place. In fact, it’s near the top of my list of places I’d like to go. But I can’t help but get a little forlorn when the UFC goes there. Every time they do, they deliver a card devoid of depth, always littered with fighters from the Aussie scene, a good chunk of them who usually shouldn’t be anywhere near a UFC cage.
That isn’t to say some gems haven’t been found in the process. I didn’t have a good review of Damien Brown upon his first UFC appearance and he ended up being a favorite of mine.
