The prelims for Saturday’s UFC 240 show, airing on ESPN, averaged 722,000 viewers, the lowest for such a show since the move to the new network.
Of pay-per-view prelims this year, the prior low as 819,000 for UFC 237, the show headlined by Rose Namajunas vs. Jessica Andrade. The last show to do a lower number was UFC 230 on FS 1, which did 635,000 viewers for the Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis show, on a night with far more significant sports competition.
The peak for the show was 883,000 for the Viviane Araujo decision win over Alexis Davis in a battle of ranked women flyweights.
